I know I don't normally "blog" on my blog, but...

... I was tagged! So, even though I typically use this blog more like a gallery, I am going to actually blog something today. This is just for Carrie from Scrapdango!

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MY MIDDLE NAME?

Here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).
3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details.)

Wow... right about now I'm wondering why my middle name couldn't be something like Kay, or Ann, or - better yet - Jo! But it's not, so I'm going to do my best....

M - math geek
I - incorrigible (on occasion)
C - complex
H - hopelessly addicted to scrapping
E - euphoric... when scrapping!
L - loving my hubby
L - loving my two boys
E - eek, I have no idea what to put here!

There you have it! Now I'm off to find eight.... oh my goodness EIGHT people to tag! Are you kidding me? Clearly, I need to encourage more of my friends to BLOG!

Alright... TAG -- Joodie, Terri, Jackie, Chrys, Kary, Morag, Rebecca, Colleen!! Have fun!

10 things that make me happy

This page was published in Memory Makers' February 2008 issue. I dabbled with some hybrid techniques to add most of my journaling directly on the photos.

Journaling: (clockwise from upper left)

seeing a student who just isn’t get it… get it
laughter… in stereo

right here waiting

I used some photo-editing magic to make the focal point photo b&w, except for the school bus. Another one with the January Sonborn kit from Scrapdango.com.

Journaling:

Such a sad sight – every Tuesday and Thursday morning, Tyler would see Ryan off on the bus. Before it was even out of sight, the choruses of “I miss Ryan” and “when will Ryan be home?” would begin. Sept. ‘07

forever my baby you'll be

I love the contrast of the b&w photo with the colors in the Sonborn kit from Scrapdango.com!

August 23, 2007 – the 1st day of Ryan’s first grade year! You looked so grown-up and handsome in your new uniform. It was so fun for you to see your friends again, and your new teacher, Miss Plasman!

caught in the act - Published in July '08 Scrapbook Trends!

American Crafts Metropolitan papers and AC chipboard Thickers title letters! More goodies from Allyscraps.com, where you can check out my sketch challenge (for a RAK!) based on the sketch for this layout! Deadline to enter for the prize is 1/18.

Journaling:

What a lucky shot. I was in position, ready to snap a picture of you and Ryan on the Dino-Soar ride at Idlewild. Little did I know that I would catch you in the act of giving your big brother a – shall we say – “love pat” on the back of his head! It’s a little bit hard to deny when we have it captured in a photo. Ryan didn’t really seem to mind though, and I’m sure he has been on the giving end his fair share of times. I guess this is just part of the joy of boys.

Here is the sketch:

so lucky you are mine

Papers, rub-ons and chipboard letters from American Crafts. Gotta love that big Fancy Pants chipboard scroll!! All available at Allyscraps.com!

10-31 tradition

Another Halloween shared with the Frachioni family, as has become our tradition! The kids have so much fun together. This year, the weather was exceptionally good. Ryan was a tiger, Tyler a dinosaur, Maggie a medieval princess, Charlie was Harry Potter (for the 2nd year in a row!), and Peter was the most adorable vampire ever! 10–31–07

Minialbum: Our Grandkids

This minialbum was a Christmas gift to my dad and his wife.

I made this mini-book as a Christmas gift for my mother in law.

the sound of joy

Love this MME "Festive" line from Allyscraps!

Journaling:

Your year in the 3-year-old DART preschool was your first time taking part in a Christmas program! What a delight it was to watch you and your classmates, so proudly singing the songs that you had been practicing with your teacher, Miss Laura. Even though you were all a little bit timid (Miss Laura and the other teachers seemed to do most of the singing), you enjoyed yourself and looked so cute, performing with your friends!

After the big show, Daddy and I stayed for the party. Everyone got to ice and decorate their own Christmas cookie. You really loved that part - you were so proud of the cookie you made!

Brotherly mentoring at its finest. Ryan has Tyler’s complete attention as he demonstrates the finer points of Pez dispenser use.

major league fun

Scrapdango's December kit!

Journaling:
Friday, May 18 2007. Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Arizona Diamondbacks. We don’t go to very many Pirates’ games, but we picked a great one to go to on this night! The weather was PERFECT. The Pirates won, 11-5! Along to enjoy the fun were Grandma Gaydos, and Ryan’s school buddy Jacob and his mom Kathy. I’m not sure that the kids really watched the game that much, but they certainly enjoyed the ball-stadium treats and goofing around with each other. It was fireworks night, so we were treated to a great show after the game – although it was a bit loud for Ryan’s liking. A great evening with friends and family… truly the great American pastime!
