engagement card
My brother recently proposed to his girlfriend of five years! (YES, it IS about time! LOL!) I thought this Dream Street Fun & Games was perfect for a cute little congratulatory card.
team spirit
Here's another from Scrapperie's September kit! I thought the Love, Elsie paper with the sports words all over was a great backdrop to Tyler's team picture from t-ball this year! Used lots of ink to just distress the heck out of the papers... LOL!

the year of the coaster
I was really unsure how to scrap these pictures, because I knew I wanted to do them together, but they are from different days/places and the colors didn't really match up very well. The Scrapperie's September kit gave me just the right papers to make it work!
Journaling:
Both of you seemed to turn a corner this year, suddenly ready for some new adventures. First you tried the Li’l Phantom, the kiddieland coaster at Kennywood. It was a big hit, and then you were ready to try Idlewild’s classic coaster, the Rollo Coaster – which quickly became an instant favorite! I wonder what new adventures next year will bring?
I stamped on the blue tickets for a fun little added touch (stamp from Scrappy Cat Designs):
methinks he doth protest too much
I don't scrap girlie/pinks much, but the September kit from Scrapperie was perfect for these playful picture of my oldest and one of our best friends, Maggie!

a quiet moment shared
I LOVE this October Afternoon Hometown from Allyscraps.... what a perfect line! It could be used for SO many things. I thought it was great for this picture of Mark and Ryan checking out the river below the bridge at the amusement park. We are NOT ALLOWED to cross that bridge without stopping for a few minutes to take in the view... LOL!
I did a blog post on the Allyscraps Blog about using stamps to dress up your page and create custom embellishments, like I did on this page.
Journaling:
In the middle of the hustle and bustle of a long and busy day enjoyed at Idlewild, Ryan and Daddy always stop for a quiet moment on the bridge heading into Raccoon Lagoon. Undistracted by the rest of the world, they are caught up in watching the fish and other critters in the river below.

being brothers (is the best thing ever)
This is my first time to work with Graphics 45 papers, and I LOVE them!! Great, heavy weight, double-sided... gorgeous stuff! This is the Playtime Collection. The cute dragonfly is from Maya Road's Bugs & Butterflies collection. I painted the body and covered the wings with paper.
It isn't often that I do a page with no journaling, but I thought the sweet photo and the title sort of said it all. I added some digital effects on the photo for the aged/distressed look.
I also did a sketch for this page for the current Sketch Challenge on the Allyscraps forum! Come check it out - you could win a gift certificate to the store!

speed racers
I was scared of Glitz for a while, but I love this Glitz Basic line... such fun, bright papers! I knew it would be perfect for some of our amusement park pics from this summer! And I even dug out the embossing powder and heat gun (for the first time in MANY months!) to use with the Kelly Panacci stamp! You can also see the sketch for this page and check out the current sketch challenge in the Allyscraps forum, for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the store!
Journaling:
Wow, the cars really zoom around the track on the Auto Race ride at Kennywood! With Tyler driving one car and Ryan driving the other, Daddy and I were in for the rides of our lives! 7.25.08
bee at work
This is definitely a bit of a different topic for a page, LOL! For our August Design Team Reveal at Allyscraps, we did a "summer" theme. I just love these My Mind's Eye Lush Blooms papers, and I happened to catch these interesting bee pictures one morning when Mark and I were sitting on the back porch drinking our coffee.
Journaling:
It's fascinating to sit on the back porch and watch as a busy little bee goes about his business in the flower boxes. What a hard worker!

2*gether
Here's one more from Scrapperie's August kit! I loved the colors for these pictures of hubby and Tyler at the zoo earlier this year.
Journaling:
You and Ryan each look forward to your turn to spend the day at the zoo with Daddy. First you took the “so you want to be a zookeeper?” class, and then spent the rest of the day enjoying the animals! 2/08
I used the chipboard circle from the Scenic Route package in the kit, covered it with paper and added the letter rub-ons (brown from the kit mixed with white from my stash). Here's a little close up:
