a sweet spring breeze

This was for a challenge I did at My Scrapbook Nook, to use a product (felt, in my case) that I found challenging to work with.
Journaling:
I love to sit on our back porch on a beautiful spring day!

how cool am I?

This was a scraplift of a layout by Scrapperamber at The Scrapbook Nook.

Tyler chillin’ at the playground. May 2007

a hug for you

Journaling:
Does it get any cuter than this? It was their own idea. Tyler and Sarah have become such good friends at the little league baseball games this year, where Ryan and Sarah’s older brother are teammates. They came up with this new game completely on their own. First, they run in opposite directions for about 20 feet. Then turn around and run full steam ahead to each other, colliding in a heartfelt hug (which, a few times, caused them both to end up tumbling to the ground – only escalating their laughter level even higher). What a sweet and endearing friendship!

my 2 favorite southpaws

Another one made with the June kit from The Scrapperie! I'm loving working with this kit!

Journaling: We saw signs when you were less than a year old, picking up Cheerios off your highchair tray – it looked like you were going to be a lefty!

Since Daddy and I are both right-handed, we figure you must get it from Grandpa Brown, who was more than happy to give you a left-handed coloring lesson, when he was here for a visit.

How fun for you to share that special little something with Pa-pa.

I love you both.

fear factor

Journaling:
Kids love Chuck E. Cheese, right? Am I missing something here? This was your reaction – a near hysterical meltdown – upon spotting the large rodent meandering about in the restaurant. Well, hopefully Chuck E. didn’t take it too personally. It was the same reaction that you have to all costumed large-as-life characters: Ricky Raccoon at Idlewild, the Pirate Parrot at PNC Park, even the Easter Bunny! I imagine you will grow out of it soon, just like Ryan did. In the meantime, Mommy’s arms are always ready and waiting for you.
